DETECTIVE RETIRES
HAMILTON PRESENTATION (0.C.) HAMILTON, this day. Tributes to the outstanding services of Detective A. Moore, who is retiring for health reasons to take up farming, were paid at a gathering at the Hamilton police station yesterday afternoon. Superintendent G. 3. Edwards said that in his 24 years' service Detective Moore had made a name for himself. When he was stationed in Auckland it was said that there was no greater thief-catcher there. After other officers added their tributes a presentation of a book rack and bedside lamp was made to Detective Moore.
