TO-MORROW'S GAMES

RUGBY LEADERS TO MEET SEARCH FOR LEAGUE RUNNER-UP The most important club match of the A.R.F.U. season takes place at Eden Park to-morrow, when Manukau and Garrison meet-in what may be the final of the Gallaher Shield competition. Reckoning in the mid-week game between Garrison and Army, which the former won, S—3, after a keen struggle (during which several young players made their senior championship debut for Army), the positions of the teams are:—

The Auckland Rugby League is continuing the championship, won by Manukau, solely to find the runner-up, for which the following XIII.'s are competing:—City Rovers and Richmond, 20 points; Marist Old Boys IS; and Mount Albert IS. An excellent double-bill has been arranged for Blandford Park—Metro v. Mount Albert and Gomrades v. Garrison. This is how the XL's stand at present:—

Chief interest in the fifth secies of games in the Dcvonport Shield competition of the Auckland Hockey Association centres on the meeting of Grammar Old Boys and Owai Rovers, at Papatoetoe. The two old rivals, Somerville and St. Luke's, should provide a stirring contest. The Wesley-United v. Mount Eden match completes the fixtures at the Papatoetoe reserve. At Walker Park, Training College is scheduled to play Air £\>rce, and if the teachers can defeat the airmen it will put them within striking distance of the leader (University), which has the bye this week.
