TAKAPUNA COUNCIL
The resignation of Mr. C. V. Holyoake was received by the Takapuna Borough Council last night, and the council appointed Mr. J. K. Austen, of O'Neill's Avenue, to fill the vacancy.
Mr. Holyoake said to-day that he had resigned because he disagreed with the undemocratic method followed by the Mayor and a majority of the councillors in filling a previous Vacancy on the. council.
