OBITUARY
JIB. WALTER H. TONGUE The death occurred suddenly this, morning of Mr. Walter H. Tongue, of Symonds Street, at the age of 64. Mr. Tongue was well-known in business and sporting circles. He was vice-president of the Auckland Bowling Centre, and a member of the Rocky Nook and Auckland Bowling clubs, and seldom missed a major bowling tournament. Born at Castlemaine, Victoria, he came to Auckland about 38 years ago. He was a past master of Lodge Ponsonby No. 70S, and an elder of St. James' Presbyterian Church. He Is survived by his wife, .one son and one daughter. The son, Captain Max Tongue, is a prisoner of war in Italy.
