TWO MEN FOR TRIAL
ALLEGATIONS OF THEFT THAMES, Wednesday. A large quantity of goods, including clothing, tobacco and cigarettes, of a total value of £145 2/8, -was exhibited in the Police Court to-day, when H. H. K. Maxfield was charged with theft, breaking and entering and unlawful conversion of motor cars, and W. H. Soanes with theft, breaking and entering and unlawful conversion of a car. Maxfield was also charged with negligent driving and failing to report an accident. The latter charge was in connection with the death of a native, who was found drowned under a truck in a stream at Waitakaruru. ' ' Both the accused were committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
