INOCULATION FOR DIPHTHERIA
Parents should understand that medical men are not unanimous on the valup of inoculations. Dr Alexis Carrel, probably the greatest medical scientist of the age, says:— "The years of life that we have gained by the suppression of diphtheria, smallpox and typhoid fever, are paid for by the long sufferings and lingering deaths caused by chronic affections, and especially cancer, heart disease and diabetes." Dr. Benchetrit, one of the greatest bacteriologists, says:— "Vaccines and sera are principally responsible for the increase of those two really dangerous diseases, cancer and heart disease. I have been for a long time a serologist and I know what I am talking about." Dr. A. S. McNeil. L.R.C.P. (Edin.), L.R.C.S. (Edin.) in his book on Cancer (1927), says of such inoculations:—" . . it is surely far too high a price to pay for a possible protection against a hypothetical (or even probable) infection, if we, with the immunisation (and so sensitisation) of our bodies, thereby put our tissue into a pre-cancerous Write for information to P.O.
