MEET TRIALS WITH A SMILE
Congratulations to "Also a Mother in your issue of the 30th instant for an answer to all the complaints on their menfolk being required to serve in the armed forces. It certainly is high time this flood or moaning stopped, whereby a minority of women are bringing discredit on that great band of wives, mothers and sweethearts who are bearing their trials with a smile. Are we going to let this spineless fraternity put out the home fires with tears; New Zealand's answer is no. So let us end the petty complaints ana work harder for national victory, thinking a little less of our trivial personal discomfort (if any). RETURNED SOLDIER. ;
