FOR THE ARMY
Surely "Sergeants' Mess" deserves , the applause of every thinking person, soldier and civilian alike for his spirited and perfectly justified letter of censure regarding the remarks ot an officer of the R.N.Z.A.F. The officer's statement that a convicted criminal who was not fit to be in the air force would be drafted to the army, must have made pleasant reading for the men of the N.Z.E.F. We hear a good deal about the blue orchids and gentlemen of the air force, also men of the army and navy. But criminals of the air force, as recruits for the army, is something that wants to be seen in cold print to be believed. A SERGEANT'S MOTHER.
