The United States naval authorities announced here to-day that certain types of cablegrams addressed to personnel aboard ships of the United States Fleet are not being delivered by cable or radio, unless in unusual circumstances or of importance.
Ordinary and routine greetings and messages will not be forwarded.
A number of New Zealanders have been disappointed when the New Zealand Post and Telegraph authorities informed them that their messages of greetings and good wishes were not being delivered to United States ships by radio or cable They have been advised to use mail, or air mail.
