RETURNS OF STEEL STOCKS

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Notice has been gazetted requiring the return of steel held in New Zealand. The Minister of Supply, Mr. Sullivan, said there was no intention on the part of the Government to take over any supplies of steel so held, and the sole purpose of the returns was to enable the Government correctly to assess its 1943 requirements.
