WOMEN POLICE
INCREASE IN NUMBER MURK FOR AUCKLAND (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The number of women police in New Zealand is to be doubled, bringing the total to twenty. All are being stationed at the four chief centres. This will increase the number at Auckland and Wellington to six for each place, and at Christchurch and Dunedin to lour each.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. D. J. Cummlngs, stated that some very line applicants had come forward, and they were now being interviewed.
