MAORI GIRLS' HOSTEL
The question of establishing a hostel for Maori girls in Auckland was discussed at a meeting of the Kotahitanga which has been incorporated recently as the New Zealand Maori Movement. The meeting, at which Mr. M. Otene presided, was addressed by Princess Te Puea, of Ngaruawahia, who spoke on Maori ideals and organisation, and urged full support of the war effort. Other matters of Maori welfare were also discussed.
