ALLIED CAUSE
RESOLUTION PASSED WHOLEHEARTED SUPPORT (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Wholehearted support for the Allied cause against Nazi-ism and Fascism was again expressed by the House of Representatives before the session of Parliament came to an end last evening. A resolution was moved by the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, and seconded by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Holland, and was carried. It was as follows:—
"The House of Representatives in Parliament assembled records its wholehearted admiraition for, and solidarity with, the United Kingdom and the other members of the British Commonwealth and our Allies— Poland, Free France, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Greece, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and, particularly at this time, the Russian people, who are so sorely pressed and so courageously and tenaciously confronting our common enemy. "In the name of the people of New Zealand It pledges anew its steadfast devotion to the high ideals for which the freedom-loving nations of the world are fighting, and is resolved to do all that lies in its power to contribute towards ultimate victory and the attainment of a conclusive, just and lasting peace."
