The Civic Theatre was packed by a large crowd. The Mayor, Mr. E. H. Andrews, presided and the speaker was the Rev. Alan Watson. Others who took part in the service were Archbishop West-Watson, the Rev. Boulton Smith and the Rev. R. Dudley.
