FAILED TO REGISTER
John Edward Murdoch, farmhand, aged 21, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court, Onehunga, to a charge of failing to register under the National Service Act. Sergeant Angland stated that defendant did not register until May 25, 1941. Murdoch said he thought when he filled in his social security form that that was sufficient. He was fined £10.
