WELLINGTON SERVICE
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The official celebration of the national day of prayer in Wellington took the form of a citizens' intercessory service in the Town Hall this afternoon in the presence of the Governor-General. Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall,' and the actingPrime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash. The hall was filled. The Mayor. Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, presided. Readings from the Scripture were given by the Governor-General and Mr. Nash. The Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes spoke.
