HAMILTON PARADE
(0.c.) HAMILTON, Sunday A united service was held in the Bledisloe Hall to-day, in response to the King's request for a day of prayer. All the military units, as well as the Home Guard, Women's Auxiliary, and Voluntary Aid Detachment, paraded. Four bands took part and the salute was taken by Lieutenant-Colonel R. D. McFarland, M.C.. The principal speaker was the Rev. W. Gatman, and others who took part were the Revs. H. L. Blamires, C. G. Reay, J. Salisbury and Major A. Bartlett, of the Salvation _ Army. Church services in Hamilton were exceptionally well attended throughout the day.
