OBITUARY
MR. W. M. TAYLOR FALL WHILE HUNTING Injured in a fall while hunting in the Waikato about five weeks ago, Mr. William Morrow Taylor has died at the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Taylor, who was aeed 55. was a boot and shoe manufacturer and retailer. He was keenly interested in horses, racing several well-kno"vn ones and being a frequent exhibitor in the show ring. His horse Englishman, after a successful racing career, gained many awards in show events. Mr. Taylor was a steward and member of the Takayuna Jockey Club, a member of the Auckland Racing Club and a member of the committee of the Pakuranga Hunt Club. He is survived by his wife, one daughter and two sohs.
MR. E. R. a. HA WORTH
Formerly weii-known in the Inglewood district. Ta.rar.aki. Mr. Edmund Robert Alfred Ha worth has died in Auckland, aged 79. Born at Rangiora. Canterbury, he served for several years on the staff of the Rant of New Zealand at Ross. Christchurch and Ashburton. In 1888 he took up a bush section at Inglewood and farmed in that district for some years. He later moved to the Inglewood township although retaining an interest in farming. Mr. Haworth and a few other prominent residents of Inglewood were instrumental in providing the township with its first electric light, forming the Inglewood Electric Light Companw He retired and came to live in Auckland in 1914 and for two years during the Great \\ ar gave voluntary service at the Victoria Street recruiting depot His four sons all saw service on Gallipoli and in France. He is survived by three son?. Mrs. Haworth having died four years ago.
