POLITICAL UNITY
DEPUTATION TO LEADERS
AWAITING MR. ERASER'S RETURN (0.C.) WELLINGTON, this day. The deputation planned to wait on the Government and the Opposition to urge the formation of a national Government and the postponement of the elections has been deferred until the Prime Minister returns. Announcing this to-day, the People's Movement, on behalf of the deputation, stated that as the actingPrime Minister, Mr. Nash, had said that no decision on the elections could be made until the Prime Minister returns, it was obviously better to postpone the deputation until direct representation could be made to Mr. Fraser. as well as to Mr. Holland.
The movement asks that all those who have decided to join the deputation, and those who are now making arrangements, should wait until a definite appointment can be made with the leaders of the Government and the Opposition.
