NORTH SHORE FUNCTION
HOSPITAL REPRESENTATIVES At the Wilson Home. Takapuna. and later at Mrs. .J. W. Williamson's residence yesterday morning, the ladies of the four North Shore boroughs, who comprise the Wilson Home branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, entertained Mr. W. K. Howitt and the Rev. W. C. Wood, both of whom recently retired from the Hospital Board.
Other guests included Mr. Allan J. Moody, chairman of the board, and Mrs. Moody, Mrs. A. D. Campbell, president of the Auckland Auxiliary, Mrs. Alfred Kidd, founder of the auxiliary. The home was inspected and the party saw the three mechanical chairs which had been presented by the ladies of the auxiliary and are to be followed by four more, and also the ramp which had been put up by the board to facilitate the evacuation of the home in case of fire or any other emergency. A little patient made a presentation from all the children to Mrs. Howitt.
Morning tea was served at the home of Mrs. Williamson, who spoke appreciatively of the work done by Mr. Howitt and Mr. Wood, and presented each with a gift from the ladies of the auxiliary. Mrs. R. Martin, formerly Mayoress of Northcote. and Mr. Moody also paid tribute to the two past members of the board.
