GARDEN PARTY.
LADY GALWAY GUILD.
A successful garden party, organised bv the Paerata branch of the Lady Galway Guild, w<as held in the grounds of Mrs. R. C. Clark's residence, Wesley College, when the sum of £40 6/6 was raised for the relief of refugees. The function was officially opened by Miss Elsie K. Morton, who gave a talk on her experiences during crisis week in England two years ago. Brisk business was done at the various stalls with the sale of cakes, sweets, novelties, produce, flowers, plants and surprise packets.
