I Soviet Acceptance Of Baltic States Awaited. UNION WITH RUSSIA SOUGHT. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON", July 21. The Communist Parliaments of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have asked for a union with Russia, says a message from Riga (Latvia). The Lithuanian Parliament has proclaimed the country a Soviet Socialist Republic.
The Associated Press of Great Britain Riga correspondent says a formal union depends upon acceptance by the Soviet. which is expected to summon a special session of the Council to receive delegations from the three Governments. Acceptance is regarded as a formality.
