MR, FRASER'S GOOD WISHES.

The Government's best wishes for a safe return voyage were sent to the commander of the American Clipper. Captain J. H. Tilton, by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, in the following terms: "On behalf of my colleagues and myself I wish to extend to you and Colonel Clarence Young and all others aboard the Clipper our good wishes for a safe and comfortable return voyage. We were delighted to welcome you to our shores at the conclusion of your successful service inauguration flight and if the high standard of efficiency which characterised that trip is maintained throughout the service all concerned will have every reason to feel the fullest sense of satisfaction. Kind regards and kia ora."

The Prime Minister has received the following reply by radio from the American clipper, signed by Colonel Clarence M. Young, Pacific Division Manager for Pan-American Airways: "For the members of the crew, observers and myself aboard the American Clipper, now en route from Noumea to Canton on its return to the United States, after the inauguration of the mail service to your wonderful country, I have to thank you for your kind message, which came yesterday by radio. Our stay in Auckland was a memorable one, thanks to the gracious and genuine hospitality which was everywhere extended to us, and we are happily looking forward to the closer association which the new air serviee will help to bring. We extend our sincere regards and good wishes."
