RED CROSS RELIEF.
Inquiries are .being received daily at the headquarters of the Red Cross Society in Commerce Street from persons desiring assistance. There is sj>ecial need for men's clothing, particularly stilts and boots, states the secretary, Mr. A. A. Harker. Members of the public may send parcels to the society's rooms. Enthusiasm continues to be shown by members of the Red Cross Transport Corps who are receiving intensive training in all sections of transport work. The superintendent, Miss N. L. Dash, said to-day that it was hoped that the arrangement made for uniforms will be finalised at an early date. Special classes of instruction are also being formed to cover the various qualifications required fov membership, such as first aid, A.R.P. and motor repairs.
