'NEATH SUMMER SKIES.
(By Betjtina Moir, 1, Kenyon Avenue, Mount Eden.) On the side of a hill wild flowers bloom. And 'tis here that I have my secret room. Its roof is the blue of the summer skv, And often I sit watching clouds roll by. It* walls are the clustered nikau trees, Swaying to the tune of a passing breeze, A mossy green carpet adorns the floor, And clematis frames the open door. Not far away, a bubbling stream, Makes music sweet as I lie and dream. 'Tis here that I spend my happiest hours, By the side of a hill with the sweet wild flowers.
