DRAMA FESTIVAL.
Arrangements are well in hand for the Auckland Elimination Festival in the national Centennial one-act play competition. The festival is to be held in the Town Hall concert chamber on Tuesday, July 9, and the following Wednesday and Friday. The climax to the festival will be the provincial semi-final, which will be" staged in the-concert chamber on Saturday, July 13. The performers will be members of the two best teams from the Waikato and the two best from Auckland. The adjudicators will be Miss Margaret Barr, late of London, for the Elimination Festival, and Miss May Mac Donald, of the Napier Repertory Theatre, for the semi-final. The work of preparing for and running the festival has been undertaken by a special drama festival committee of [the Auckland Provincial Centennial Council.
