SPECIALIST UNITS.
RAILWAY COMPANIES.
OFFICERS ON TRANSFER.
The appointment of officers to several of the railway- companies of the engineer section of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionay Force has been announced by the Army Department. The formation of these units, together with the forestry and army troops companies. was announced a fortnight ago by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones. The appointments are.— loth Railway Construction Company.— Major K. T. Smith (Officer Commanding), Captain A. G. Park, Second-Lieutenant* A. A. Treloar. L. C. Malt, G. K. Armstrong, F. K. Roberts. 16th Railway Operating Company. — Major F. W. Aickin (Officer Commanding). Captain G. T. Poole, Second-Lieu-tenam< D. A. Clarke. C. H. B. Bishop, J. M. B. Loeheti. 17th Railway Operating Company.— Major A. H. Sago (Officer Commanding), Captain J. A. Jull, Second -Lieutenants J. X. Nicholson, A. T. McMurtrie. J. T. K. Dodds. The following officers of the 24th (Auckland i Rirte Battalion have been attached to undermentioned units:— Captain H. H. Forder to the 17th Railway rating Company and Lieutenant W. R. K. Morrison, N.Z'.S.C, to the 16th Operating Railway Company. Lieutenant B. T. J. Jones, of the Ist Infantry Training Battalion (Papakura) has been attached to the 13th Railway CoiiMruction Company.
