Oladyuev, whose weight, 6.7, in the Caulfield Cup l'.us created eome comment in Australia, was sent to Sydney about a month ago to join J. T. Jamieson'-s team. He is owned by" Mr. Colin Anderson, ot Auckland, who, in conversation this morning, stated tlittt some years ago he sent Mithra to Sydney with Jamleson. This filly, who wne a two-year-old, had good winning form in the Dominion, but at Rosehill, which wag ht r flrirt start in Australia, she was let in very much lighter than expected, her New Zealand form apparently not having -been taken into consideration, and she won easily. Inflation secured his first success with his progeny when Cla-ssform won a division of the Waikanae Hack Scurry at Otaki last winter, and the first division of the same event last Saturday was taken by another of the Inflations, the two-year-old Silver Shekel, who was in charge from the end of the first half-furlong and was atways going like « winner. Silver Shekel had two starts early in the season, and when resuming recently at Awapuni he ran third in a big maiden fipld. He is out of the Lapidary mare Princess Lajean. a halfsister to Arrow Lad, and he is owned by his breeder. Mr. D. Bridewell, for whom he Iβ trained at Awapuni by C. J. Thompson.
