ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY.
REQUISITION OR PURCHASE.

WELLINGTON, Tuesday.
Regulations dealing with the requisi tion or purchase of property to give the Minister of Supply authority to take possession or requisition any land or buildings, parts of. buildings, goods, chattels or machinery. Special provision is made that no obligation or limitation imposed on the proprietor of any undertaking by any 4 ct or contact shall prevent or excuse the proprietor from complying with any directions of the Minister.
The appointment of advisory bodies is envisaged in the regulations. The bodies may be appointed to advise the Minister on any relevant matters.
Companies breaking the supply regulations are liable to a fine not exceeding £1000, and persons breaking them arc liable to a fine not exceeding £200 o - imprisonment not exceeding 12 months, or both fine and imprisonment.
