SOLDIERS' WIVES.
As another soldier's wife, one cannot blame "Disappointed Wife" for wanting her husband home for week-end leave, ■but there are far worse cases than title. As much as we loved one another tot husband thought it bis duty to enlist in October last; from then on- I very little of him. I have three small sons, one just over five months old and this one my husband has never seen, for baby was born the morning the First Echelon left Auckland for Wellington t® sail overseas. You will realise what a struggle it is and a responsibility to rear such a small young family. I would never have stopped my husband from fulfilling his wish, as I was qnite prepared to carry on and try also to do something for our country by sacrificing liis leaving me. No doubt there are worse cases than mine and I think your correspondent is lucky to know that her husband is still -in New Zealand and will be able to come home when the epidemic is cleared. NEVER COMPLAINED BEFORE.
