MIGRATION.
May I suggest that as a slight gesture of sympathy and—shall I say it — —shame, New Zealand, Australia and Canada should throw their doors wide open to Norwegian and Danish emigrants. Having lived in close touch with Norwegian settlers in Western Canada from 1917 to 1932, I think I ean safely say that all Canadians would agree with me that in the melting pot of nations in North America the Norwegians and Danes come out top. Sane and strong in body and mind, hard working, devoted to the "Good &irth," respectable and self-respecting, minding their" own business and with the independence of the Scotch they are a back* bone to any district in which they have settled.
