DIVISION OF CONTROL. TROPOSAL TO THE CENTRE. "Tlie whole provincial district of A tickland is too unwieldy to handle," eaid Mr. J. Hogbeu at a meeting of the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association when supporting a proposal by Mr. H. Summers, of Tauranga, to subdivide the Auckland Centre's area into six sub-centre dietricts. Mr. Hogbqn went on to say that the athletes "In the proposed areas would have a greater Incentive, by having full control of the sport around their home towns. Mr. Hi C. Banlf (South Suburban), outlined the proposed sub-divisions viz. Northland, Auckland Metropolitan, South Suburban, Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Each of these districts to send two "delegates to an Auckland provincial centre, for the purposes of general administration. A motion by Mr. Summers establishing the principle of the eub-division was carried unanimously. A committee consisting of Messrs. Hogben. Baulf and Reld, wa* set up to bring down concrete proposals at a special ; general meeting to l>e held on «*nly 8.
