Tlje Otago Rugby Union baa decided to notify referees that in future a player mnit -put the ball in the Bcrum instead of the-'referee. Tliis decision was reached following letter from the New Union that the time was act opportune to seek a dif» pen Ration, from the~ English Union >or the referee to nut tfee ball into the wenjra. and that- the Dominion Union bad itself no sower to grant such a dispensation.
