WATERSIDERS' AWARD.
SUSPENSION GAZETTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) j WELLINGTON Monday. I A suspension order signed by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. C. Webb, under the Waterfront Control Commission Emergency Regulations, 1940, was gazetted this evening. This orders the suspension of the whole of the provisions of the New Zealand waterside workers' award of November 30, 1937, In respect of their application to all ports of the Dominion. The provisions of the various Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Acts are suspended in respect of their application to workers coming within the scope of the award, except the provisions relating to the registration of the union.
