UNIVERSITY AWARDS.
The Auckland University College Council at its meeting yesterday afternoon awarded the Butterworth Law prize for 1939 to W. J. Shaw, while the names of B. W. Kean and G. D. Speight were marked jointly proxime accessunt. The Wilson and Horton prize in journalism for 1939 was awarded to Mr. G. M. Meiklejohn.
