HIS LAST CHANCE.
YOUTH BEFORE COURT. "You have been given every chance, and I don't know but that you should be sent somewhere where you would be under control," said Mr. J. Morling, S.M., in the Police Court to-day to Lester Sydney Arthur, labourer, aged 18, who pleaded guilty to a breach of his probation. Mr. J. Anderson, probation officer, said accused in June last was before the Court on seven charges of theft and admitted to probation for three years. In September last he was again before the Court on three charges of theft, the cases being adjourned for six months. He had been ordered to make restitution to the amount of £8 5/6, but had paid only 5/. He had not reported reguUrly as required; in fact had failed entirely to carry out the terms of his probation.
The magistrate said he vu going to give accused his last chance. Be would be convicted and discharged, conditions being that he make restitution of £8 and also report regularly to the probation officer.
