Kelly and J,. Heard, former cup delegates, were also present. Mr. I'almer welcomed the visitors and ciuigratiilated Mr. Kojiem and his crew on their win. The cup i,ad been a strnncer k> Auckland for some years, and their win was doubly welcome. Mr. rainier also referred to the trophy presented by thf Auckland branch of the Master Mariner*' Association. It was named the Jellicoe Memorial trophy and was also won by ("Kress as the. Not only Auckland yachtsmen, sir Krneet fald, but Auckland's ritlzens generally, were proud of Caress ami her crew. He also presented them with a badge to commemorate their win. Uadjres were also presented to Messrs. K. Belcher and C. G. Daw.

It is 11 years since Auckland won the Sanders Cup. This was at Akaroa in r.C".>, when Messrs. Clok<> and Patrick** Avillon was successful. Her crew was A. Willetts (--kipper). T. Cloke (niaiuslivet), .1. I.arrett (for'ard), and J. Currey (heavyweight) Tile clip was presented by the Mayor of Akaroa to Mr. \V. A.
