As the Auckland Rupby LeapueV cliatnpionslup does not commence until April 27 another eerie* of preliminary games is being stage<l at Carlaw Park to-morrow.
In the principal game Mount Albert, last year's champion, reinforced by several Australian players, will play Manukau. The Maori team put up a splendid showing to beat City laet week, and Mount Albert will be faced with strong opposition.
The curtain-raiser im between Xorlli Shore and Newton and, as it is the former's first appearance, an interesting game should m-ult.
