R.A.F. fighters shot down an enemy 'plane over the north-east coast. Spitfires caused a second Heinkel to crash into the land at Saint Abb's Head. The crashed Heinkel hit a farmer's field 20 minutes after the first Nazi had crashed at sea. There was a crew of four aboard the Heinkel. The R;A.F. is estimated to have shot down a total of 50 Nazi 'planes over Britain or the North Sea .since the war began. The R.A.F. has not lost a machine during these engagements. Trawlers Bombed. Two German 'planes aimed bombs at a trawler off the east coast, but flew off when the trawler opened fire with a machine-gun. From Paris the R.A.F. is reported to have attacked several German torpedo boats at Borkum and Heligoland. They have also made many reconnaissance flights over the North Sea during the last few days. A Berlin communique reports that the Nazi Air Force is increasing its reconnaissance flights with no losses, despite the enemy fighter defence. An attempt by enemy 'planes to enter Germany across the Western Front failed. DUTCH PROTEST. VIOLATION OP FRONTIER. LONDON, February 22. Holland is protesting to Germany apainst four German aeroplanes flying over the country on Tuesday, cays a message from Amsterdam. Anti-air-craft puns fired on the machines without result. A dispatch from Brussels says Belgian aeroplanes and anti-aircraft guns drove back a foreign aeroplane which crossed the frontier.
