RAVAGING BUSH FIRES
Extensive Damage In N.S.W. And Victoria. TOWNSHIPS ENDANGERED. (Received II a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Driven by fierce winds, bush fires endangered townships and homesteads, killed thousands of stock and did other extensive damage in southern New South Wales last night. More than 1000 men were fighting a huge fire near Wagga. Fires near Adaminaby and Yass were also out of control, causing serious damage, while outbreaks caused considerable damage in several parts of Victoria.
