AFTER 27 YEARS
Footballer's Death THE death has occurred of Mr. ■*• Tom Langton, of Onehunga, who for twenty-seven years lay with an injured neck. In October, 1912, he played for the Onehunga Waterside Workers' Football Club. Playing at fullback, he collared his man, bringing him down. Two other players collided and fell on top of Mr. Langton, whose neck was twisted. The late Dr. W. G. Scott gave him only three days to live. For fifteen months he was in the Auckland Hospital and was afterwards taken home. Two years ago he was removed to the Infirmary. He is survived by a widow, two sons and a daughter.
