LOGGING MAN FOR HOBART.
Despite the huge demands of modern industry, the forests of America and Canada will never be cut out, according to Mr. P. E. Freydig, of Seattle, Washington, a well-known engineer connected with the newsprint and lumber industry, who arrived in the Monterey to-day.
Mr. Freydigj ie travelling to Hobavt, where he will take over the management of the logging and tim!>er branch or Australia Newsprint Mills, which will into production as soon as equipment is installed. The mill will bo the first of its kind in Australia end will be on a large scale, with the most modern plant. Forestry was being tackled on progressive lines in America, said Mr. Freydig, and the annual increment exceeded the annual consumption, so that no misgivings were held for the future.
