LAYCOCK HEADS QUALIFYING PLAY IN NORTH SHORE GOLF.

There was not a strong representation of low-markers in the North Shore Golf Club's annual summer tournament, which drejv over 50 competitors in the qualifying' play yesterday. In consequence quite a few players on double-figure marks qualified in the first 16 for the championship. The best aggregate of the day—lso —was returned by the Titirangi competitor B. J. Lay cock.
