Fourth Round Results — Title-
Holders Well Down.
Showers again held up the start of play in the second day of section piay in the Auckland Bowling Centre's Christmas tournament to-day. Most of the rinks were heavy, but they improved as the day advanced, and there was a noticeable change when the roller was put over the greens after the completion of the morning round.
Only eight rinke survived without loss, these being skipped by MeCljniont (Ponsonby), Griffiths (New Lynn), Koefocd (St. Helier's), Firth (Glen Eden , ), Purdy (Mount Eden), Taylor (Carlton), Franks (Balmoral) and Buchan (Epsom). Last year's winner, W. J. Short, of Pukekohe, is well down.
The fifth and sixth rounds -were played this afternoon, and section play is scheduled to be finished to-morrow.
