TENNIS TOURNAMENT.

Annual Handicap Test — Broun

Beats latherland.

Few surprises were evident to-day when the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's annual handicap tournament was continued. The chief event was the quarterfinal win by A. S. Broun, who is tenth ranker on the Eden and Kpsoni Club ladder, against O. Litherland, who second place at Parnell.

Just the same as yesterday, rain interrupted play during the morning, but bright sunshine prevailed during most of the day. The watches -were keenly contested, and a high standard of tennis was exhibited. Mr. J. A. Fernandez "was in charge of the tournament. MEN'S SINGLES. A SECTION. Quarter-finals.—A. S.
