OBITUARY.
MRS. M. E. ANDREW.
A well-known Howick resident, who had lived all her life in the Auckland district, Mrs. Margaret Emma -Andrew, has died in her ninetieth year. Mrs Andrew was born at Sm'ale's Point which wae formerly near the foot of Hobson Street, and during her life had met many people whose names are now associated with the history of New Zealand. Married in IB<Jft, eh e went to live at Howick with her husband, who died in 1933. She Is survived by sewn members of her family.
MR. J. H. GRANT.
The death has occurred at Crawlev, Sussex, or Mr. John Henry Grant formerly of the Bank of New Zealand, according to advice received from London. Mr. Grant was a member of the bank's London staff for over 40 vears, and, prior to his retirement 10 "years' ago, had been secretary to the London board of directors for 15 years.
MR. W. H. MACLEAN
The death has occurred of Mr. W. H. Maclean, of Taihape, who was in the legal profession in Taihape for many years. He served as a member of the Taihape Borough Council and as president of the Taihape «han?ber of Commerce.
