NORTHLAND RECRUITS.

WHANGAREI, this day.
So far only 66 fit men are available in Northland for the second echelon, the quota for which is 339. There are al#o nine officers on the active list and three on the reserve available.
ThU number includes married men, some with five or more children. Some 163 men have been claeeed as temporarily unlit and 84 permanently unfit. For the Maori Battalion; Northland has raised 202 men out of the quota of 359 required.
