CHRISTMAS IN PORT.
FLYING ANGEL MISSIONS.
A Christmas ip port, ie seldom the lot of a mercantile marine man, and again this year the Flying Angel Missions to Seamen, and other Auckland organisations, have done everything to provide Christmas cheer for those at home for the holiday. In co-operation with the Takapuna Red Cross and the Harbour Lights Guild) a Christmas dinnei" was provided at the mission and an outing to the range* catered for no fewer than 83 seamen. Yesterday a cricket match was played et Victoria Park between Solomon Islanders from the Southern Cross ami a team from other ships. A social at the mission concluded festivities last night.
