Mr. Brian Cannell, former secretary to the late Elioth Gruner, Australian landscape painter, has arrived from Sydney on a visit to Gisborne.
Mr. E. P. Haslam has joined the economic staff of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Australia. Mr. Haslam, who was a 1934 Rhodes Scholar from New Zealand, was until recently secretary of the Leverhulme Trust Research Commission, which studied British and French systems of administration in West Africa.
