ROYAL LADIES.
IN UNIFORM.
Four Royal ladies are now entitled to wear uniform. The Queen, who, since the war began, has been made Com-mander-in-Chief of the Women's Royal Naval Service, the Women's Auxiliary Territorials'and the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, ie also Colonel-in-Chief of the Queen's Bays, the Black Watch and the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. The Princess Royal is Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Scots, the Royal Corps of Signals, the Indian Signal Corpe, the Canadian Scottish Regiment and Commandant of British Red Croee detachments. The Duchess of Gloucester is a Dame Grand Cross of St. John of Jerusalem, and the Duchess of Kent is Lady Superintendent-in-Chief of the Order of St. John for Wales.
